The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Anastasia lives and serves in Quito, Ecuador with End Slavery Ministries Ecuador (ESME). ESME brings the redeeming love of Christ through relational ministry to women coming out of vulnerable situations such as sex trafficking, prostitution, & abuse. Anastasia focuses on the children of these women, providing a safe and uplifting place for them to grow.

Anastasia grew up in the Phoenix, Arizona area with her parents, Alan and Linda, and brother, Ian. She went to Lutheran schools throughout her education, including Valley Lutheran High School in Phoenix and Concordia University Irvine. The faithful witness of her family and Christian education built a solid faith foundation for Anastasia. Her trust in the Lord continued to grow as she saw God’s faithfulness in more tangible ways in high school and college.

At Concordia Irvine, Anastasia had many opportunities to learn more about missions and travel internationally, including the Around-the-World Semester in 2016, a study abroad semester in Quito, Ecuador in 2017, and a mission trip to West Africa in 2018. Many classes and conversations with professors, friends, and other mentors helped Anastasia see more of God’s plan for her life and follow his call to serve in ministry overseas.

Previously, Anastasia served with MCN in Slovakia at Evanjelické Gymnázium Tisovec (EGT), a bilingual high school, as an English and Bible teacher from 2019-2021. Then she served with Living and Learning International in Quito, Ecuador as a Resident Coordinator from 2021-2022. She loves Ecuador and is excited to now be working with ESME in a capacity that is new for both her and the organization.

In her free time, Anastasia enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops around Quito, and spending time with friends.

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund.
