Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the end of the age”. – Matthew 28:19-20
Ashley was born and raised in California and grew up in a Christian home. Both her parents had a love for ministry which provided many experiences for Ashley to see Christ’s love being shared both in the church and outside in her community. When she was eight years old she learned of the missionary Amy Carmichael and after hearing about her mission work she felt God calling her to be a missionary as well. A couple years later, her mom encouraged her to have a life verse to ponder on, and still feeling strongly that God was calling her to be a missionary, Ashley has held onto the Great Commission verse ever since.
Though she didn’t have much opportunity to serve overseas, she learned that mission work starts right outside her front door and she was able to be involved in Sunday School, Bible Studies, and Vacation Bible School in her youth. Cambodia is the first experience she has had in overseas missions and she is very grateful for the chance to be a part of Intentional Gospel Proclamation there.
She graduated from Concordia University Nebraska in 2017 with a degree in Theology and emphasis in Pre-Deaconess Studies. Since 2017 Ashley has been serving with Stronghold Cambodia, a Christian Cambodian organization whose mission is to empower Cambodian communities for positive change through Christian care and learning. They do this by equipping Cambodian children and parents physically, intellectually and spiritually.
Ashley will be sharing the love of Christ with her students through teaching English as well as participating in other ministry efforts to build relationship in the community. She invites you to join her in God’s mission through your financial and prayer support, as she shares the love and hope of Jesus to children in Cambodia.
Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s agreed upon stipend amount will become the property of MCN. In the alternative, excess funds may be used to support Mission Partner in missional activities under a new MOU, or Mission Partner may assign, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world, and not for the financial benefit of MCN.
