Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Beverly Stevens grew up in Ontario, NY, and graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio, with a degree in Education and Biology. While studying at Cedarville, several professors and chapel speakers challenged her in her faith and encouraged her to accept God’s calling to teach overseas. Upon graduation, Beverly served in China, teaching English at the university level, and later moved south to continue her ministry of teaching to middle school students in Hong Kong for more than 25 years.
Beverly earned a Master’s Degree in International Education from Cairn University and focused her research and studies on transitions of Third Culture Kids (TCK’s). She has had the opportunity to develop and lead transition programs for TCK’s in international schools in Asia.
Beverly and her two children live and serve in Penang, Malaysia through Dalat International School. DIS was founded in the 1920s as a boarding school for missionary children whose parents ministered in areas where quality schools were unavailable. Today the school continues to provide a Christ-centered education and boarding program for missionary children but has also grown to include the local Malaysian and international students in Penang.
Beverly is excited to share her love of Christ and cross-cultural missions with her students. She invites you to join her in support as she follows God’s calling to Malaysia.
