Hannah will be serving in Dakar, Senegal (West Africa). She will be working with missionary kids, teaching children, and supporting other missionaries. She will be an elementary teacher at Dakar Academy, West Campus. Dakar Academy is a Christian academy for missionary kids, local kids, and other expatriate children. She will be able to continue to work through her elementary education degree program while teaching. This will give her the opportunity to continue to support other missionaries by educating their children on the field, as well as sharing Jesus with the children who do not come from a Christian background. Dakar Academy’s mission is “so all can serve,” and she is looking forward to this opportunity to continue supporting missionary families so they can serve.
Hannah previously spent the last several years serving in Sierra Leone (West Africa) as a teacher for missionary kids. She had a ministry she loved and found a real passion for educating and supporting missionary families. Hannah first fell in love with West Africa in 2011 when she took a short-term trip to Sierra Leone. She has continued to be involved in the region since then.
She grew up in the Seattle area with her parents and 2 brothers. This created a love for living near an ocean, coffee, mountains, and all things Pacific Northwest. She was involved in local missions and short-term missions throughout her teen years. Her home church currently is Bethel Lutheran in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Hannah is looking forward to this new opportunity to build relationships and invest in the lives of those in Dakar, Senegal.
Outside of teaching, her hobbies are playing board games, being outside, reading, and exploring.
Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
