God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20a

Brandon and Lynnea's Story

Brandon and Lynnea Holmes live and serve in Manila, Philippines through Faith Academy. Lynnea teaches in the kindergarten class while Brandon teaches band in grades 5-12.  This mission school allows missionary parents to faithfully follow God’s calling, knowing that their children are receiving a quality, Christ-centered education.  Brandon and Lynnea are especially excited about sharing their love of cross-cultural missions with their students — many of whom will go on to become missionaries themselves!

Brandon and Lynnea met at Mayer Lutheran High School in Minnesota. After high school, Lynnea attended Concordia Irvine where she received her Bachelors in International Studies and Missiology while Brandon attended Concordia Nebraska and received his Bachelors in Music Education. After four years of long-distance, Brandon and Lynnea were married in December of 2019.

Both Brandon and Lynnea have a great love of traveling, playing folk music, and being in the great outdoors.  They have been blessed to be able to travel to many countries — Lynnea through an Around-the-World Semester with Concordia Irvine and Brandon through tours, mission trips, and visits to his sister in Morocco.

They both have had cross-cultural ministry on their hearts for much of their lives, and were encouraged in this path by their wonderful families. Brandon and Lynnea are honored to participate with you in God’s mission to proclaim the Gospel in the Philippines!

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s agreed upon stipend amount will become the property of MCN. In the alternative, excess funds may be used to support Mission Partner in missional activities under a new MOU, or Mission Partner may assign, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world, and not for the financial benefit of MCN.
