Janine is a born-and-raised Minnesotan. She first became interested in serving internationally while on a mission trip to Costa Rica in 2012. Since then, the Lord has continued to write a story that has cultivated a heart and joy for Costa Rica. She had the opportunity to complete her undergraduate preceptorship in Costa Rica as well as volunteer as an online English Partner with LightHouse Transformation Ministries; the ministry she now serves with.
As opportunities and connections to Costa Rica continued to present themselves and grow over the last 10+ years, Janine’s curiosity as to whether the Lord may be calling her to serve overseas grew as well. In the seeking, the Lord has lovingly reminded her that He did not give us a spirit of fear and that He is the one who establishes our steps.
Prior to joining MCN, Janine worked in the field of public health. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor degree in Community Health Education from University of Wisconsin La Crosse. She now uses her public health skills in a new context and setting to serve God in His mission.
In her free time, Janine enjoys chasing down miles on her running shoes, reading countless books, adventures with her nieces and nephews, and baking an endless supply of cookies.
Pray for Janine as God guides her, that His light, love, and peace may be known and that He may be glorified in all things.
Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
