The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Exodus 34:6
Most months there are an average of 100 fresh soul baptisms in SE Asia. Hmong pastors and evangelists travel to remote villages. They proclaim Jesus. The Holy Spirit generates faith. In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit souls that matter are baptized. These freshly redeemed sons and daughters are adopted into God’s family. God’s Kingdom is ever warmly expanding in us, through us, all around us and way beyond us in SE Asia. You are warmly invited to serve with us praying, giving and if God moves you to travel to experience first hand how God is moving in SE Asia.
Jeff Prewitt has been serving as an ordained pastor in the LCMS for 41 years. He is a graduate of Concordia Nebraska and Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne. For 20 years he has been serving on short term mission trips in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Since 2004, he has been serving with Rev. Dr. Fungchatou and Dr. Kalia Lo. When Covid shut down our world in 2020, our God opened up online theological training. While travel and trips have opened up, we will continue to serve people online and, when possible, in person with the good news of the Gospel. As a Mission Partner Specialist with Mission of Christ Network, Pastor Prewitt will be raising mission support for more outreach and theological training with the SE Asia Lo Family mission.
Pastor Prewitt is available for SE Asia mission presentations at LCMS churches. He is open to serve in leading worship, preaching sermons, Bible class settings and school chapels. He’s open to traditional or contemporary formats. You can contact him by email to schedule a Sunday or an event.
Pastor Prewitt is married to Laurie. They met at Concordia Seward. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. Pastor Prewitt enjoys exercising, reading, listening to podcasts and audible books. He used to collect dolphins but stopped as the collection, according to his adult children, will end up in a landfill. Two of his core teachings are: 1. God’s Kingdom is ever warmly expanding in us, through us, all around us and way beyond us. 2. We are all Broken Following Jesus Together Long to Glory. And finally he ends all emails and correspondence with a declaration of “Glory!” Glory!
Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
