But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint
Jordan Merrifield grew up in Roseburg, Oregon with her younger brother and parents. She has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran since her baptism as a baby. Jordan was homeschooled for a majority of her education before college. She studied Theology at Concordia University Portland and received her BA in Theology from Concordia in April. During her time at Concordia, she was blessed with the opportunities to travel to Cambodia, Vietnam, and Liberia on three short-term mission trips to serve with several of her fellow students. While in Cambodia and Vietnam God opened a special place in Jordan’s heart to the mission field in Southeast Asia and she is very excited to follow His call to Taiwan this fall.
Jordan has always enjoyed working with children and watching them learn about the world. She has spent all of her summers and breaks during the last four years of college working at St. Paul’s Childcare and has loved witnessing the children there grow in Christ. She is also going to complete the Teaching English as a Second Language program at Concordia University Portland this summer to prepare herself to serve at Concordia Middle School. Jordan looks forward to building relationships with the children and families at Concordia Middle School and sharing the love of Christ in those relationships.
Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s agreed upon stipend amount will become the property of MCN. In the alternative, excess funds may be used to support Mission Partner in missional activities under a new MOU, or Mission Partner may assign, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world, and not for the financial benefit of MCN.
