Serving Opportunity
The people of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska are open to receive spiritual guidance, care, and Biblical education. With a sensitivity to the history and tradition of the Ho-Chunk people and relational care, the love of Jesus our Savior is made known. Building on a long and trusted history of ministry on the Winnebago reservation, a mission partner or couple is requested to live on the reservation and build relationships with the people of the community including Tribal Leaders, other adults, families, and children. Ministry opportunities include partnering with Tribal agencies, Lutheran Indian Ministries, and area congregations for varied and extensive human care opportunities; and organizing and leading Bible studies and informal worship services. The mission partner will also support the ministry of Jesus Our Savior Lutheran Preschool.
You Will Be
- Building relationships with tribal leaders and community families
- Gathering people for prayer and devotions
- Engaging in trauma-informed ministry and human care
- Meeting people where they are and sharing the hope of the Gospel
