Dylan Estes was born in the Chicago Suburbs in 2003 to a Lutheran family. His mother is a Lutheran school teacher, which provided him a firm foundation in the Christian faith, and his dad is a layman who loves discussing faith with his family. He has two siblings, an older sister in zoology, and a younger brother in school for engineering.
Originally, Dylan studied international politics in college, falling in love with global culture and language, particularly Arabic and the Middle East. He spent a gap year in the World Mission Prayer League’s young adult program where he received a call to ministry, before enrolling at Concordia St Paul, where he is in the process of finishing his degree in Christian Ministry. Dylan will be serving MCN in Kansas City, MO, where he will be working with Lutheran Urban Ministry Agency to finish his degree. Dylan hopes to eventually do international ministry in Muslim-majority countries.
In his freetime, Dylan enjoys fishing, playing video games with friends, and fencing. His favorite book of the Bible is Luke, followed closely by Habbakuk. Dylan’s favorite saint is Saint Patrick of Ireland, who serves as his example for loving those you serve on the mission field.
Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
