Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

Connect with Ruth

Ruth Moon grew up on ranches in Colorado with her parents and three brothers. As she spent time working with children through church and as a counselor at Lutheran Valley Retreat, she developed a passion for education and sharing God’s love by spending time pouring into kids. She chose to study Elementary Education and Spanish, with an
endorsement in ESL at Concordia University, Nebraska, with the hope that this would give her the opportunity to serve God with her gifts.

In high school, she went on a mission trip to Honduras, but it was during her time at Concordia that she became seriously interested in serving internationally. She spent a month studying Spanish in Costa Rica and student taught in Ecuador, experiences which solidified her desire to serve the Lord internationally.  She volunteered with Lighthouse Transformation Ministries’ online language classes and was excited when an opportunity opened up to work with the mission partners in Costa Rica.

Ruth has played piano for 15 years and has been a part of choirs and praise bands at Concordia and her churches.  She loves spending time in the great outdoors hiking and exploring, and often spends her free time reading books and creating art.

Please pray for Ruth as God guides her to use her gifts and experiences with kids to cultivate relationships and share the Gospel in Costa Rica.

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s agreed upon stipend amount will become the property of MCN. In the alternative, excess funds may be used to support Mission Partner in missional activities under a new MOU, or Mission Partner may assign, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world, and not for the financial benefit of MCN.
