Region: France

Danny and Dawn live in Nouvelle Aquitaine in the southwest region of France. They married in 2009 and have two teenage daughters. The couple serve their local church in Angoulême as youth leaders. 

Danny was born and raised in France by his parents who were American missionaries in the French Basque country. He helped to establish Radio Bonne Nouvelle, a Christian radio station, in 1982 at age 15. He served the radio ministry for several years before starting his family. Danny attended medical school in Bordeaux and has been a licensed general practitioner since 1997. 

Dawn was born in southern Illinois and was raised, educated, and served in LCMS schools and churches until moving to France. She has served in youth ministries and has taught English as a Second Language for over 30 years in Seoul, South Korea, St. Louis, Missouri, and most recently in Balzac, France, where she and Danny started a secular association to teach English to their local community. 

Danny and Dawn have always been inspired by the Gospel as well as artistic expression. God has been faithful and has grown them where they are planted and recently blessed them with the start of a new Christian association in 2024 called Studio Bonne Nouvelle that gives them the right to infuse the Gospel in France in all artistic ways. As a foundational time for their ministry, they are preparing their home as a place to host a studio to produce Christian media to share Jesus with France.

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
