Samantha serves in Aszód, Hungary at Petőfi Lutheran High School. In her work there, she teaches English classes, leads after-school Bible studies, and shares the Gospel with her students and those in the community.

Samantha grew up in Wayside, Wisconsin (in the Green Bay area) with her parents, younger sister, and large extended family. Her home congregation is Zion Lutheran Church of Wayside. After graduating high school, she attended Concordia University Chicago for theology and training to become a Director of Christian Education (DCE). Samantha served her DCE internship at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Columbia, Illinois. She worked with youth and adults of all ages in her role there and loved being able to build relationships throughout the congregation.

She first became interested in serving internationally while in college, when she attended two short-term mission trips to Ethiopia and Greece. She was able to able to meet missionaries in the field and lead Christian education programming for their children during their annual retreat.

Samantha also got her first taste of cross-cultural living in college when she studied abroad at Westfield House in Cambridge, England. While there, she met her husband, Kendall, who was studying abroad from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis at the time. They were married in June 2023.

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
