I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
Sarah Huhn was born in Florida but spent most of her childhood in Escondido, a town in Northern San Diego County. As a military kid, she also spent three years living in Okinawa, Japan where she was blessed with the opportunity to travel to nearby countries and experience many different cultures. Though only five years old when she arrived in Okinawa, God was working in her heart and preparing her for international missions. Sarah’s family includes her parents, Dan and Jackie, who have always encouraged her passion for exploring other cultures and serving God and others, and her younger brothers Jake, Luke, and Ben.
Sarah will graduate from Concordia University Nebraska in May 2019 with majors in World and Intercultural Studies and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and minors in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. While at Concordia she had the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Guatemala and spend a semester studying abroad in Shanghai, China. Both of these experiences allowed her to see the work God is doing around the world. She is looking forward to using the gifts and passions God has equipped her with to serve with Mission of Christ Network.
In the fall, she will join a team of other missionaries at Concordia Middle School in Chiayi, Taiwan. There she will teach ESL and Bible lessons and will work to share the Good News of the Gospel through the relationships she forms with students and families. Please pray for her as she begins life on the mission field abroad.
