And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.”

Ezekiel 37:3-5

RJ Acomb was born in Newton, IA, but spent most of her life in Memphis, TN. From second grade, RJ was homeschooled and spent most of her youth watching anime and Korean dramas.

She was raised in the Church, but did not consider her faith seriously until she moved away for college in Nebraska. During her years there, the Holy Spirit was planting seeds and convicting her in her faith. However, probably the most impactful moment was when she and her friends nearly died in an ocean incident. RJ felt God’s call of conviction, and she began slowly realizing how God wanted her to use her talents in her life.

RJ graduated from Concordia University in December 2021 with a major in Educational Studies. In July 2022, RJ was blessed with the opportunity to go abroad to Cambodia for one month to teach English, where she witnessed how God is shining His light overseas. God opened her heart to the Khmer people and the beauty of sharing the Gospel while teaching. The experience revealed that God was calling her for a life overseas.

RJ serves with Stronghold Cambodia, a ministry on Fish Island in Kampot, Cambodia where children can come to play, learn, and hear about Jesus.
