While still a child growing up in North Dakota parsonages, Adam’s growth towards a life of travel and World Missions was seeded through missionaries visiting on furlough who brought stories and stamps, old maps and new recipes, and realities of lives devoted to the Great Commission. Following high school he was led first to learn at a Lutheran Bible School, and then to study Literature at university and grad school. He spent his first “adult decade” teaching English Language in South Korea and his second teaching Literature in Southern Californian. He has begun his third decade of vocation by moving to Europe and joining the Mission of Christ Network as a full-time mission partner.

Adam’s ministry roles within MCN include the missional building of relationships with migrant and refugee communities in Germany, the support of other MCN mission partners in Central Europe, the gathering and editing of written content for MCN’s social media presence, and the development of Gospel Proclamation programs for both sending and receiving short-term teams from MCN Cornerstone Congregations.

Four years ago in an Istanbul art gallery, he met his wife Annett where she was doing an internship in Evangelism through Fine Arts and he was leading a student team serving refugees. They married at sunrise on the first morning of 2017, and have since been developing their various ministry callings which involve teaching, photographic arts, writing, and product design. As a couple they have already traveled to over 20 countries, although they are currently based on the German-Czech border where Annett is getting further training in Product Design and Adam is participating in the German Integration Course with refugees from over six different nations. During their school breaks, he serves as a Travel Designer for various groups, including planning and leading Choir Tours and Reformation Roadtrips.

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s agreed upon stipend amount will become the property of MCN. In the alternative, excess funds may be used to support Mission Partner in missional activities under a new MOU, or Mission Partner may assign, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world, and not for the financial benefit of MCN.
