Louisa Lehenbauer was born in Kansas where she lived for a little over a year before moving with her family to Russia. She and her siblings spent most of their childhoods as missionary kids in Russia, Germany, and Hong Kong before returning to the United States to attend high school in Concordia, Missouri. Louisa then attended Concordia University, Nebraska, where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.
After teaching in Lutheran schools in Washington and California for six years, she returned to Concordia, Missouri. There, she married her husband Andrew and taught at the Lutheran grade school for two years until the birth of their daughter Marie in July of 2022.
Louisa is thankful to continue in education and in missions as the Director of Concordia Mission Institute. In this role, she works to steward, facilitate, manage, and develop opportunities, strategies, and vision for mission education so missionaries both at home and abroad will be better equipped to bring Christ to the nations.
