Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30

Zane graduated from Concordia University, Irvine in 2019 with a major in Christian Education Leadership and minor in Global Cultural Studies. Prior to moving to California, he lived in Maryland, Missouri, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Florida. His mom served in the army while his dad served in the church.  While at Concordia, Zane enjoyed taking advantage of the many opportunities on offer including playing guitar in the worship band, intramural sports, and traveling.

Zane has travelled to 30 countries, including participating in CUI’s 10 country Around-The-World Semester, and has taken 3 trips to Kenya, including a three-month solo trip in 2018 while partnering with Fikisha to help street children know God and better their lives. He also previously served at Stronghold Cambodia. During these trips, he has been presented with many opportunities to learn and serve in various cross-cultural settings. Through these experiences, God developed in Zane an eager passion to serve Him in other cultures.

He also enjoys surfing, exploring nature, playing guitar, and photography. He is now serving in Indonesia at a community youth center. Here, they share the gospel with the local youth through building relationships and leading “Discovery Bible Studies.” These relationships are built through different interest clubs at the youth center: coffee, English, soccer (football), and surfing. Zane also travels occasionally to film and photograph other Mission Partners to share the stories of how God is working in their areas.

Any funds raised that exceed Mission Partner’s Total Cost of Missionary Service may be used to further support Mission Partner in missional activities, or Mission Partner may donate, after consultation with the Executive Director, any excess funds to one or more Mission Partners who are in good standing with MCN or to MCN’s General Fund. The purpose for this is that any funds raised are to support missional activities throughout the world.
